7 LA Social Posts That Caught My Eye This Week
My little corner of Los Angeles social media really brought it with the #content this week - here are a few highlights!
On top of working to provide a stellar dining experience, restaurants are now also expected to crack the social media code and catch your eye on Instagram or TikTok. As a content creator, I really respect the added time and effort this takes, so I wanted to shout out a few of my favorite social media posts from LA businesses this week!
Ggiata x Chuck Inglish “Breakfast for Dinner” Pop Up (Instagram Post) - As soon as I saw the words “breakfast for dinner”, I was hooked. Ggiata is hosting a BFD pop up with Chuck Inglish on 3/2 (I can’t make it, someone please go on my behalf!) Ggiata always crushes the branding and design aspect of their business, and this post is a clear indicator of that. Stunning food photography, a cool designed flyer, and overall a very cool food concept makes this a winner!
LA Times Food Illustrated Coffee Round Up (Instagram Post) - This was arguably my favorite post of the week - I found it so delightful. LA Times writer Bill Addison did a full download on coffee culture in LA, complete with some charming illustrations of the coffee shops (created by Brandon Kit). As a fellow coffee aficionado with a huge appreciation for the coffee culture in this city, this one really nailed it for me. Check it out and uncover some of the best coffee in LA right now!
Rápido Lady Gaga Wine Announcement (Instagram Reels) - Oftentimes when you work for a small business, you *personally* can become on-camera talent or the social media producer (been there!). In this quick clip, Sarah and Ben show 3 of Rápido’s new featured wines in the store. They give a 10/10 performance and use a trending sound we all know and love - a perfect (albeit subtle) advertisement!
Challah Dad x Zab’s x Jurassic Magic Collab (Instagram Reels) - This video feels like a mini doc, showcasing Challah Dad’s incredible food offerings but also showing off his personality and quirkiness. It feels very casual, yet it’s beautifully shot and the visuals are very eye catching. I also just love a good collaboration!
LA Times 404 Blizzard Warning (Instagram Reels) - If you live in Los angeles and you aren’t following LA Times 404… what are you doing? This account is solely dedicated to providing helpful information in a very digestible, meme-heavy way. I could highlight a lot of their posts, but pulled out their blizzard warning clip because - who would’ve thought we’d ever see a blizzard warning in Los Angeles?!
Woon Kitchen Photo Dump (Instagram Post) - Woon’s photo dump carousels are nothing new, but why mess up a good thing? I love them because it feels personal, a little behind-the-scenes and therefore I feel more connected to the restaurant & what they stand for. In this particular round up, the cover image is a mini Woon customer playfully posing outside with one of the restaurant’s plastic stools. Precious!
All Good Things Promo Post (TikTok) - All Good Things is an incredible cafe in Koreatown. Not only do they have great food and coffee, they also have a TON of free parking and excellent Wi-Fi. In this video, AGT shows off all of their amazing features in a quick hitting, very chaotic way using a trending sound on TikTok - the key to virality.
What caught your eye on social media this week? Send me any fun posts I may have missed! We’re back next week with another installment of “My Los Angeles”, my new series where I interview friends in LA and ask them to share their top 5 spots in the city! Until then… catch me on TikTok!
